Trojan.Agent/Gen-VBKrypt – Semalt Expert Explains How To Remove It Completely

Trojan.Agent/Gen-VBKrypt as the name suggests is a trojan horse. Thousands of PC users have complained of having been infected by the malware. It does not discriminate whether your PC is running on Windows or iOS. So how do you find it infiltrated in your registry? Well, it's through the usual sources: it's either downloaded when you click a 'harmless' link or install some file you downloaded. In this case, the trojan installs itself without your notice and permission.

Julia Vashneva, the Senior Customer Success Manager of Semalt, gives an insight into the complete removal of this annoying infection.

How to understand that something is not right:

  • The permissions appear skewed.
  • You'll keep seeing a Trojan.Agent/Gen-VBKript folder in your computer files. In addition to this, strange icons start to show up on your desktop.
  • If you can't scan password protected folders with your credit information and other sensitive data, then you're at risk.
  • Sluggish internet connection especially over WiFi connections. Accessing the internet becomes as slow as a turtle swimming in peanut butter. Try to open a new tab, make a search, and nothing shows up.
  • Your firewall goes down, and the security center won't turn on.
  • A majority of the PCs display the "the recycler" /s-1-21 500/1000.
  • The registry becomes corrupted. Register files get modified/ erased.
  • Out of the blues, a text file (.txt) stating that the computer will run as normal also shows up.
  • Ghost audio. Here automatic advertisements play and you just can't find out from where.
  • You'll notice that some icons with .ini and other strange extensions start appearing on your desktop.
  • Multiple svchost.exe processes run during start up. These take too much disk space.

Disappearing files in your folder. Most of these files are often scheduled to run in a different memory space.
